Online orders

We never see your card details so will obviously never keep them.

Phone orders

We do not keep any credit card details on file.

Overseas orders

Please note: Prices listed are for UK orders only. Due to the cost of shipping we are unable to offer free delivery to overseas customers. For overseas ordering please click here.

Contact details

We may store your name, address and email address for our own marketing purposes but we will never, ever disclose any details to third parties. Please email mailing@splendidbooks.co.uk if you do not want to be notified about future books.

Refund/cancellation policy

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel a contract within seven days - starting from the day after you take delivery of the goods (a "cooling off" period). You have the right to cancel for any reason without penalty. If you wish to return you book, please write to or e-mail us clearly stating your full details. You must give us notice within seven working days starting from the day after you take delivery of the order. Once you have informed us you have a legal "duty of care" to take good care of the goods. You must return the goods to us at your expense to the address below - we would advise that you use a recorded-delivery service for small items and an insured courier service for larger items. Please mark all parcels clearly with your returns number. We will refund you the full amount paid for the goods within 30 days of receipt of the notice of cancellation.

Delivery policy

We will seek to send out orders placed before 4pm GMT on the same day.

Launch event

Tickets are non-refundable. In the unlikely event that the On The Beat launch event is cancelled customers will be refunded the cost of their ticket. Please note that if the event is cancelled by Splendid Books we will be unable to reimburse you for travel and other associated costs related to this event.

Submission of written material

Any written material to be submitted to the Company (Splendid Books Limited) should be submitted via an agent or legal representative. Any unsolicited material is accepted by the Company strictly on the basis that parties submitting material acknowledge and accept that:

• The Company may be working on similar ideas or proposals at the time of submission or in the future
• The Company may receive similar ideas from other third parties
• Ideas in themselves are not protectable and that unless the Company uses the text of any written material submitted to it in breach of copyright, the Company shall not be liable for developing or producing book ideas similar to those submitted to the Company on an unsolicited basis.
